Disappear is a plugin for Photoshop or PaintshopPro. It removes a region from an image and replaces it with colour diffused in from the region's edges. Disappear is bundled with the Blend plugin.
|Select the object to be removed.|
|Execute the Analogue|Disappear plug-in.|
Limiting the Diffusion
|If the object you want to remove is attached to something else then the Disappear command lets unwanted colour diffuse in:|
The Disappear dialog shows the pixels which are just outside the selected region. Only the pixels under the red line will diffuse into the region.
"Draw" over the pixels you do not want so as to eliminate that part of the edge. Then press OK. Colour will diffuse in from the remaining edge:
After the colour has diffused in, the area inside the selection is blurred. The amount of blur increases as the distance from the edge increases up to a maximum value. The Max Blur trackbar allows you to specify the maximum bluring.
If the Auto Execute checkbox is checked then the OK button will automatically be pressed one second after the dialog appears. To uncheck the checkbox, hold the Control key down as you select the Disappear command.
For Disappear to work, there must be a selected region. You must not have selected all of picture - there must be pixels outside the selected region.
The selection must not be floating.
Selected regions containing transparent areas of may not work as expected.
